Legend's Dream

As time continues, legends sadly, slowly disappear until all that's left of them are fairy tales spoken at night. This legend that I am about to tell is one that has almost completely disappeared save the one document that has been passed down through the ages. And now the Legend of The First Dream begins...
On a dark night, a long time ago, a young man cautiously made his way to his fortified mansion-hopeful that it would hold up against the threat of Death. Silently, Adain James, rapped upon the stone door that now stood in front of him. It was the very door that was the entrance into his lover's room of the mansion. He was impatient to see his beloved Annalise, his beautiful wife. But sadly that was not to happen, for Death came to meet him at that very minute.
Overcome with grief for her dead husband, Annalise prepared to kill herself. Adain pleaded to Death to allow him to be able to stop her from dieing. Death, seeing that Adain only asked if he could stop his wife from committing suicide and not to return to the living, decided to grant his request. He gave Adain the power to contact her only in her sleep.
With a grateful heart, Adain, now with the power to contact his wife, entered into his wife's subconscious state a told her that he was indeed well and that she should not stop living even though he was not there, for they would one day meet again.
With a new found hope, Annalise rose up from her bed and started to live once more. And now every night he visits those who are in despair to give them consoling dreams.
